Magnet Program Application
There are three steps to completing a Magnet Application:
Step 1: Apply to attend Cobb Magnet online through Focus (Parent Portal)
Submit the Magnet Program School Choice Application for Cobb Middle School by logging into your child's LCS FOCUS Parent Portal account. Click on "My Child" then "School Choice" and choose “Cobb Magnet” as your first choice.
Step 2: Complete the Student Essay
Submit the student essay to Cobb Middle School via email (hannah.acree@leonschools.net), US Mail, or drop-off.
Step 3: Teacher Recommendation
Give a teacher recommendation to your child’s current teacher to complete and submit. Forms may be submitted directly by the teacher via inter-school mail, Microsoft Form, or email to hannah.acree@leonschools.net
Completed Magnet Applications are due by March 1, 2026.
